Five Chinese language interns from Brawijaya University recently completed a four-and-a-half-month internship at Huayou Indonesia’s Weda Bay Hydrometallurgical Base. During their placement, the interns leveraged their bilingual skills in functional and production departments, fostering integration between Chinese and Indonesian teams. The base’s management emphasized that local bilingual talent is a vital force in the company’s growth. This industry–academia collaboration not only provided Indonesian students with valuable practical experience but also opened new pathways for the company to identify and develop local talent.
