On January 6, 2024, Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry, as well as Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, along with Deputy Minister Nurul Ichwan, visited the Huafei and Huaneng projects for an inspection and exchange of views. Gao Baojun, Senior Vice President of Huayue Group and President of Indonesia Nickel Industry Group, warmly welcomed the delegation.

During the visit, Minister Rosan and his delegation toured the Huafei project control center, the high-pressure acid leaching workshop, as well as the exhibition area and quality testing center at the Huaneng project. They gained in-depth insights into the progress of production processes, technological applications, and ESG development at Huayue Indonesia’s integrated green manufacturing base for lithium battery materials in Weda Bay.

Minister Rosan congratulated Huayue on the successful operation of its first integrated green manufacturing base in Indonesia. He praised the advanced technology and smart production lines implemented in the project and emphasized that it provides new momentum for Indonesia's economic growth and human resource development. Gao Baojun expressed gratitude for the Indonesian government's strong support of the Huayue project and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continuing its contributions to Indonesia’s economic and social development in the future.
